Studley Park Cabernet
The 2004 and 2005 vintages of Studley Park Cabernet are our current releases. Both wines are made exclusively from cabernet sauvignon grapes grown at Studley Park Vineyard. They have excellent colour and delicate bouquet which exhibits typical cabernet characteristics. All viticulture in the vineyard is carried out by hand. The fruit was handpicked at optimum ripeness and this results in pronounced fruit on the palate and this is balanced by soft tannins. The wine is drinking very well now and should improve with more bottle age.
Studley Park Rosé
Studley Park Rosé is made exclusively from cabernet sauvignon grapes grown at Studley Park Vineyard. The first vintage was 2010 and had beautiful colour and delightful fruit flavour without any trace of sweetness. It is believed that our Rosé is a rare example of this style of wine being made exclusively from cabernet sauvignon grapes. After crushing the grapes, the juice for the Rosé was run off with relatively little contact with the skins and seeds so that tannin levels are very low.
Wine Making
Llew Knight of Granite Hills Winery is our current wine maker and has made all vintages since 2000. Llew is recognised as a leading wine maker and specialises in producing high quality cool climate wines. Llew uses gentle hand wine making techniques at all stages to produce wines which are classic examples of the cabernet sauvignon variety.
